Authorities are investigating a series of bizarre break-ins in Brisbane after a stranger snuck a swim in a family pool.

The paddle pincher was caught on camera half a dozen times but the family has no idea who he is.

He has made himself at home in Stevens’ backyard at least five times since January.

“It just feels a little bit entitled,” homeowner Holly Stevens said.

“So we’ve come to the conclusion he’s obviously scoping out the property whilst we’re out make sure no ones home.”

The sneaky swimmer even takes off his shoes at the front door of the New Farm home, before loosening out his limbs in luxury.

“He’s like, sweaty, has sneakers on, and he’s running, and then he’s stretching in the pool after a run, which is honestly very gross, because it’s just like this guy that we don’t know,” Stevens said.

“He’s coming in sweaty and swimming.”

Stevens says they’ve caught the dirty dipper nearly half a dozen times, but believe he’s been secretly making a splash even more often than that.

“We installed better CCTV after about the second time, so now we can see pretty clearly when he accesses the property but yeah, before that, we, it’s likely that he could have entered and we just wouldn’t have known,” she said.

“It’s just really odd, like just bizarre.”

With the culprit caught on camera repeatedly, police are now investigating the incident.

The man is likely to face charges of trespassing and potentially more if authorities catch him in the act.

Police recommend securing your property with external walls and fences to deter potential trespassers.
