Jennifer Lopez reposted a viral meme featuring a quote from her 2001 hit Love Don’t Cost a Thing, accompanied by a laughing emoji, indicating she found it amusing.

The 55-year-old singer, with an estimated net worth of $400 million, shared her thoughts with her 248 million Instagram followers on Sunday.

The concerns raised pertained to the U.S. economy, amidst worries about a possible recession and the impact of potential tariffs proposed by President Donald Trump on consumer prices.

‘Due to inflation, my love will now cost a thing,’ the post read, which was a cheeky riff off the title of the track, which has more than 206 million YouTube views.

Lopez’s fans got a laugh at the meme and many commiserated with the Bronx-born beauty in the comments.

‘That’s right sister,’ ‘lmao exactly mother,’ and ‘She not playin’ games wit’ yall!!,’ are just a few of the comments that agreed with her sentiment.

With concern that the U.S. may plunge into a recession, many people are feeling the pinch.

Trump has provided contradicting comments about what he plans on doing, leading to more uncertainty in the economic markets, the AP reported Friday.

The president has said that it’s ‘physically impossible’ to conduct all the requisite meetings and that he will proceed with recalibrating the tariff rates in the coming weeks.

The Jenny from the Block star’s post, while funny, doesn’t really apply to her and her estimated net worth of $400 million.

One economic issue Lopez has to deal with is the $68 million house she and Ben Affleck bought during their brief marriage.

They renovated the Beverly Hills estate to suit their needs. But they’ve had very little interest in the pricey abode since it hit the market in August 2024.

Sources have told TMZ that Affleck is eager to lower the price of the house while Lopez is not ready to do so – despite there not being much interest in the abode.

‘Jennifer thinks they can get more money for the home, so she wants to keep the price as is. But the real estate market is not there and it’s not selling,’ an insider told Us Weekly.

Meanwhile Affleck is prepared to sell, no matter the final offer. ‘Ben wants to get rid of it because their divorce is over and he wants to cut all ties and have it be done,’ the insider stated.

He just wants it over and to sell it. He wants to reduce the price.’

Some realtors also informed TMZ that the $68M asking price is too high and needs to be dropped by at least 15% if the pair want to offload their marital home.

An agent told the publication that the two stars had overpaid for the estate – which consists of 12 bedrooms and 24 bathrooms.

But buyers who do have the finances to purchase a home around that price range are currently searching for deals in the market.

Insurance costs are also on the rise – with insiders telling the outlet that insurance for the Beverly Hills mansion is estimated to be around $500,000 annually.

Earlier this year in January, deadly wildfires spread throughout Southern California which has also resulted in fire insurance costs catapulting.

While JLo and Ben do not agree about their house, they are on the same page about something more important, their kids.

Last week, Ben gave a shocking update on his relationship with Lopez after finalizing their divorce four months earlier.

While talking to Entertainment Tonight, the actor expressed, ‘For the record, Jennifer Lopez is spectacular, great to my kids, great ongoing relationship with them.

‘I love her kids. They’re wonderful. She’s [an] enormously important, tremendous person of a lot of integrity who I adore and am grateful to.’

He made the comments while attending the premiere of The Accountant 2 – and revealed that Lopez’s twins Max and Emme, 17, had joined him.

‘It’s a great night. The kids are here, Jen’s kids are here. I’m very, very excited.

‘I’m proud of the movie, I love the movie and I love when all the kids come out. It’s really fun, it’s exciting.’

Affleck continued, ‘I’m thrilled that the kids are here with me. The relationships that you can have with children like that, it’s the joy of my life.

‘And those kids are amazing, and I’m glad that this is a movie they want to come.’
