Savannah native drafted by Green Bay Packers

GREEN BAY, Wis. () — The Green Bay Packers selected Savannah native Warren Brinson with 198th overall pick in the sixth round of the 2025 NFL Draft.

The defensive tackle grew up in the Hostess City, and started his high school career at Savannah Christian High School. Then, he transferred to IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla. for the final two seasons.

He went on to play five total seasons at the University of Georgia as a defensive tackle.

He started eight of his last 25 games as a Bulldogs, and in those two season recorded four sacks and nine tackles for a loss.

Brinson found out he was selected from his home city of Savannah.

“I can’t wait to be a pillar in the community of Green Bay,” said Brinson in a video shared to Instagram. “I just have one favor and one favor only. Save me some cheese curds.”

Overall, 13 players from the University of Georgia’s class of 2025 were selected to 2025 NFL Draft.
