Bachelor In Paradise is truly a one-stop shop for all of your reality TV wishes. The inventive reality show brings together a variety of contestants from the Bachelor and Bachelorette universe to see what romance (or chaos) unfolds as they’re grouped together.

This time, there will be more than one twist, as it was recently announced that there will also be, for the very first time, alums from both The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette mixed in with the group. What’s more, it was also revealed that Season 10 will also boast a brand-new filming location.

Bachelor In Paradise Season 10 Will Be Set In Costa Rica

While past seasons of Bachelor In Paradise were set in Sayulita, Mexico, Season 10 intends to shake that up. Just this past week, on April 22, network ABC announced that filming would be shifting to a new location. Where might that new destination be? It seems that the Season 10 cast is bound for the beautiful sights of Costa Rica. Though the past nine seasons were all filmed in Mexico, participants often complained about the lack of airflow in the filming location, and so it may not come as a surprise that production was eyeing an eventual switch.

With hopeful singles venturing even further out of the country, who knows what kind of experience will be in store for them throughout Season 10? While the full cast has yet to be confirmed, a few of the names have been officially announced. Among them are Jonathan Johnson and Hakeem Moulton (from The Bachelorette Season 21), Zoe McGrady (from The Bachelor Season 29), and Leslie Fhima and Gary Levingston (from The Golden Bachelor). More cast members are sure to be announced in the near future.

The mixed group is sure to make for an even more entertaining watch than past Bachelor In Paradise seasons. As reported by Reality Tea, host Jesse Palmer is already getting fans pumped up for the new twist:

For the first time ever, Golden men and women will be hitting the beaches of Paradise alongside all of your Bachelor and Bachelorette favorites of seasons past.

Some Familiar Faces Will Be Coming Back

This isn’t to say that everything about Bachelor In Paradise will be changing for Season 10. Instead, there are certain staples that are staying true to the show, especially a couple of familiar faces who fans will no doubt be happy to see back on their screens. One need look no further than the official announcement from network ABC to see who’s coming back for the newest season.

The announcement explained that two reality TV veterans in particular would be resuming their posts:

Unforgettable moments … served with a twist … Wells Adams return[ing] as bartender, joined by Hannah Brown bringing the bubbly to rose ceremonies in the all-new Champagne Lounge.

Beyond Wells and Hannah returning for Season 10, it’s also been confirmed that host Jesse Palmer will also be back for his usual role.

Only time will tell if these changes to the franchise will give Bachelor In Paradise the much-needed shakeup it’s been searching for. Longtime viewers of the show will recall that the past few seasons haven’t been very successful in terms of matchmaking—in fact, neither Season 8 nor Season 9 saw any lasting couples at the end of the season.

Some fans have complained that new additions to the show have actually taken away from the original concept instead of adding to it. At this point in time, the general audience opinion seems to be split on whether adding in a mix of older alums from The Golden Bachelor and The Golden Bachelorette will increase or decrease the odds of proper couples being formed by the end of the trip. While some think this could steer the show back towards more genuine, wholesome moments, others think that it limits the potential dating pool by including folks from vastly different generations.

This comes as the latest update in the overall Bachelor universe. Earlier this week, it was also announced that a new Golden Bachelor had been found for Season 2. The new leading man will be a guy named Mel Owens, who boasts a very interesting and impressive background.

On top of being a father to two sons, he also flaunts a career as a former professional football player—indeed, Mel used to be a player for the Los Angeles Rams from 1981 to 1991. After his retirement from the sport, he would go on to have a very illustrious legal career, helping in areas such as workers’ compensation, sports law, sports injuries, and disability benefits.

As of this article’s writing, neither of the new seasons has an official air date yet. Fans can expect to tune into Bachelor In Paradise Season 10 sometime in the summer of 2025, where things are sure to heat up.
