WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. (WFLA) — A father and son are dead after a domestic dispute turned extremely violent over the weekend.
Just after 3 a.m. on Saturday, Palm Beach County deputies responded to an armed domestic violence incident at a home on Emerald Dunes Drive in West Palm Beach.
The 20-year-old son was found “actively stabbing” his 52-year-old father with a sword, the sheriff’s office said.
Deputies demanded that the suspect drop the sword. When he didn’t comply, the 20-year-old son was shot by a deputy.

The victim and suspect were treated on the scene, but both later died due to their injuries.
The sheriff’s office said the deputy who fired his firearm has been placed on administrative leave with pay, pending an investigation.
“Our thoughts and prayers are with their loved ones,” officials shared in a Facebook post.
This remains an ongoing investigation.
WFLA.com has reached out to the sheriff’s office for additional information regarding the motive and their identities.
