The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame has finally settled on who will be inducted later this year. And luckily for us, the star-studded ceremony will be available to watch live from home for cable customers and cord cutters alike.

The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame previously announced a list of 14 bands and musicians who were being considered for the honor in early 2025. Now, that list has been narrowed down to seven inductees who were announced during Sunday’s (April 27) episode of American Idol: Bad Company, Chubby Checker, Cyndi Lauper, Joe Cocker, Outkast, Soundgarden, and The White Stripes.

Several musicians and bands were in the running for the honor, including Phish, Mariah Carey, and Oasis. Phish won the fan vote with almost 330,000 votes cast by fans but the feat was not enough to land the jam rock band a spot in the Hall of Fame.

The inductees won’t be the only celebrities honored that evening. The Rock & Roll Hall of Fame induction ceremony will also honor Salt-N-Pepa and Warren Zevon with the musical influence award. Thom Bell, Nicky Hopkins, and Carol Kaye will also be receiving the musical excellence award, while Lenny Waronker will be honored with the Ahmet Ertegun Award.

The evening will surely be a can’t-miss event. The 2024 Rock & Roll Hall of Fame class included Mary J. Blige, Cher, Dave Matthews Band, Foreigner, Ozzy Osbourne, A Tribe Called Quest, Kool & The Gang, and Peter Frampton.
