Airyn — who uses she/her pronouns — was born as Aaron Kendrick De Niro alongside twin Julian Henry Deon on October 20, 1995, and is 29 years old as of publication.

Airyn De Niro Denied the Label of Being a Nepo Baby

During an April 2025 interview with Them, Airyn opened up about being referred to as a nepo baby throughout her life and said that is far from the truth.

“Obviously no parent is perfect, but I am grateful that both my parents agreed to keep me out of the limelight. They wanted it very private,” she told the outlet at the time. “They have told me they wanted me to have as much of a normal childhood as possible.”

Growing up with an A-list parent, however, Airyn has lived and breathed the entertainment industry first hand. She took on her mom and dad’s acting talent and has pursued her own career in Tinseltown along with modeling.

“I wasn’t brought up having a side part in one of dad’s movies or going to business meetings or attending premieres. My dad was very big on us finding our own sort of path,” Airyn revealed to the outlet. “I would want [success] to happen on my own merit.”

Landing a role has been tough for Airyn, who spoke of popular roles she auditioned for, but did not land – including the part of Jules in Euphoria.

“I had two auditions for this video game, League of Legends,” Airyn continued to Them. “It’s one of the biggest video games I play all the time with friends. I was like, ‘Oh my God. That’d be so cool. It would be a make-it-or-break-it moment for me.’ Obviously it didn’t happen. I was like, ’What’s the point?’ It’s the really big auditions that you’re like, ‘F–k, this could have been life-changing, but it just I wasn’t the right fit.’ And sometimes it’s hard to not internalize that.”

Despite being knocked down, Airyn continues to strive toward being “an inspiration for at least one other person like me who is Black, who is queer, who’s not a size extra small.”

Airyn De Niro Is Opening Up About Her Journey as a Transgender Woman

Airyn opened up about being a transgender woman in April 2025 with Them. After growing up uncomfortable in her body and not fitting societal beauty standards, Airyn decided to undergo hormone therapy in November 2024.

“Trans women being honest and open, especially [in] public spaces like social media and getting to see them in their success … I’m like, you know what? Maybe it’s not too late for me,” Airyn reflected on her past thoughts to the outlet. “Maybe I can start.”

Airyn gave fans an update on her healing journey via Instagram in February 2025, writing, “Patiently waiting for my tits to grow in.”
