SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Calvary Day hosted its final signing ceremony of the school calendar year on April 29 in the gymnasium.

Ryan Wallace is a pitcher headed to Roanoke College.

“Showing that my hard work is finally starting to pay off on and off the field,” Wallace said. “It means a lot to me and my teammates to recognize all of us while we’re still together playing for something bigger.”

Corey Blount is a lacrosse player. He will up north and play at Berry College.

“I get to go play the sport I love for four more years at a very good college, and it means that God gave me an opportunity to really flourish in my career,” Blount said.

From the gridiron, Cutter Powell plays linebacker. He will head two hours north to Charleston Southern.

“Pretty exciting getting to know a bunch of people that are going there,” Powell said. “I’m rooming with one of my buddies from Calvary. So I think it’ll be really fun having people there that I know and it’s just a new atmosphere.”

Another baseball player headed to the next level is Brody Dawson. He’s going to stay in state and play at Gordon State College.

“It’s like a dream come true,” Dawson said. “Ever since I was little, I just wanted to play at the next level. So to have the opportunity just means a lot to me. Going with my friends, I mean, what more can you ask for?

Congrats to all the athletes.
