I think it should go down as one of the great scandals in our history.

Neither President Donald Trump nor White House Press Secretary felt it was worth their time to attend, because the once bipartisan dinner has in recent years turned into a noxious progressive rage-fest where inside-the-beltway journos pretend to laugh but secretly hold venom in their hearts for anyone who doesn’t agree with them.

As if to prove the point, the Association presented the award for “EXCELLENCE IN PRESIDENTIAL NEWS COVERAGE BY VISUAL JOURNALISTS.” You know what photo they picked, right? One of the most iconic photos in American history, Donald Trump jumping up after an assassination attempt, pumping his fist as blood streamed down his face, and yelling “FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!” Right?

Wrong. No, instead they picked an unremarkable black-and-white shot of former President Biden—the president they covered for—shuffling off to who knows where. If there were legal punishments for journalism fails, those involved with this clown show would get life in prison without the possibility of parole.
