ORLANDO, FL – It’s been a dry stretch in Central Florida—weeks of sunshine, barely a cloud in the sky, and barely any rain for many location across central Florida
If you’ve been feeling like your lawn’s been begging for a drink or the humidity is nowhere to be found, you’re not alone. This dry season has left many wondering when, or if, it will ever end.
Well, good news is on the horizon. The drought that’s been gripping the region may finally be seeing some relief this weekend. Forecasts are showing much-needed rain heading our way soon, offering a much-anticipated break from the dry conditions.
Expect scattered showers to start rolling in over the weekend, bringing some much-needed moisture to the ground. These showers will help ease the dry conditions, but it won’t be a total turnaround just yet. We’ll still need more rain to truly make a dent in the drought, but this is definitely a step in the right direction.
The dry season in central Florida typically ends at the end of May, just before the start of hurricane season.
