LUBBOCK, Texas– The Inside Out Foundation held the grand opening for its new office space on Wednesday. The organization moved into a bigger location in the same building.
The space is larger, which means they can assist more clients. There are specialized rooms for wig fittings, mastectomy bra fittings and esthetician services. There is also a ‘Pay it Forward Boutique’, in which all the proceeds go toward the foundation.
Their previous location was in the same building located at 4630 50th St on the 5th floor. They are now on the 3rd floor.
The Inside Out Foundation is a non-profit on the South Plains that focuses on supporting women who have experienced a traumatic life event or disease.
Some of their services include private bra fittings with prosthetic breast forms and mastectomy bras, wig fittings and skin care.
“We have wigs of every color and style that you can imagine, and we professionally fit in here for hair loss clients,” Alexis Arnold, the CEO and cofounder of the Inside Out Foundation, said.
She said that because there is more space, they’ll be able to help more people in need.
“This larger space literally allows us to serve more clients,” Arnold said.
The Inside Out Foundation helps men and children, but its main focus is women. All of the services are free for the survivors, so the boutique is one way the non-profit raises money.
“Every single time you shop with us, you are literally supporting traumatic events directly. You are directly by shopping, purchasing a wig, or prosthesis, or mastectomy for our client,” Arnold said.
Her hope is that the place is beautiful and welcoming, and feels the same for everyone else.
“We want you to come and be loved on, and be welcomed and be serviced fully. Because that’s what this space is really for. Yes, it’s for fundraising. Yes, it’s for supporting. But most importantly, this is a place for you,” Arnold said.
They plan to roll out support groups soon, which will meet in the new space. The organization will open that meeting area up to other agencies who may need to use it.
