WCSO: Duo found with 'gallon-sized baggie' containing suspected meth

WASHINGTON COUNTY, Tenn. (WJHL) — Two people from Greeneville were arrested on drug charges Tuesday in Washington County, Tennessee.

According to a news release from the Washington County Sheriff’s Office (WCSO), deputies stopped a vehicle at the intersection of Bank Drive and Highway 93 just before 6 p.m.

The sheriff’s office reports the vehicle was driven by Faith Ann Yokley, 26, and Richard Tristian Fomby, 37.

Fomby reportedly had an active warrant out for his arrest for failure to appear in Washington County.

A WCSO K-9 conducted a free air sniff of the vehicle and alerted deputies, the release states.

According to the sheriff’s office, deputies found a backpack, which contained a “gallon-sized baggie” that “contained 677.5 grams (1.49 pounds) of a crystal substance consistent with methamphetamine. Deputies also found $1,818 in cash in the vehicle.

Both Yokley and Fomby were arrested and charged with manufacturing/delivery/sell/possession of methamphetamine. Yokley was also charged with driving while in possession of methamphetamine and speeding.

The pair was transported to the Washington County Detention Center. Yokley was placed on an $11,000 bond, and Fomby was held on a $10,000 bond. Both individuals made bond and are set to appear in court on Wednesday.
