Jennifer Hudson spent some quality time out with her son as the duo twin at the Los Angeles Lakers vs. the Minnesota Timberwolves basketball game.

The duo sat courtside showing off their fashion-forward Crocs.

Hudson paired her designer black, rhinestone-covered Crocs with blue jeans, a black shirt and a leather jacket while 15-year-old son, David, wore an all-black outfit with his white and gray Crocs.

Over the years, the EGOT-winner has kept he son out of the spotlight. Yet, recently, the teen is being seen more and more at his mother’s side out and about, even collabing with her on last year’s Christmas album, “The Gift of Love.”

Hudson has openly admitted that her motherhood journey has been one that hasn’t been without challenges; however, she admits that regardless of her own journey, she is proud of the young man that her son is becoming. 

“Being a mom of a Black son, you have to make him conscious of and aware of certain things — who he is within the world. And there’s so many layers he has to learn!” she told Real Simple in a previous interview. “But he’s at an age where he can fully understand it. And he’s so evolved beyond what I could ever imagine.”

She also noted in her interview one teachable moment that had to do with her son’s signature “giant hair”.

“My son goes to a predominantly white school, and he has giant hair, a whole afro,” The Jennifer Hudson Show host told the outlet. “He loves to walk in there with the big old ’fro and the pick in his hair. And I’m like, ‘Do you realize the statement you’re making? Know that just wearing your hair like that is a statement alone.’”

Hudson shares her 15-year-old son with Hudson shares David Daniel Otunga Jr with ex-David Otunga. After a decade together, the pair split in November of 2017.
