CENTRAL ILLINOIS (WCIA) — Saturday’s slate included plenty of important games at the college and high school levels, including Illinois and Parkland at home.

The Illini dropped their final game of the season at home to Ohio State, and their season is over after falling short of the 12-team Big Ten softball tournament.

Parkland won its opening game of Region 24 Tournament play. The Cobras will play either Lincoln Land or Lewis & Clark for the region title on Monday.

EIU won a pair of games over Western Illinois to secure a second-straight OVC regular season title.
