BRISTOL, Tenn. (WJHL) — The Sullivan County Sheriff’s Office (SCSO) responded to a reported shooting in the Bristol area on Saturday.

According to Captain Andy Seabolt, a call came in at 1:56 p.m. from a residence on Cedar Lane with a report of shots being fired from a vehicle.

An update from the SCSO at 7:59 p.m. said an identified suspect, Robert Lee Farmer, 43, who also lives on Cedar Lane, had fired several shots from a handgun and left the scene.

The SCSO is searching for Farmer. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the sheriff’s office at 423-279-7330.

The SCSO said Farmer is most likely still armed and should not be approached.

Detectives have charged Farmer with four counts of attempted second-degree murder, reckless endangerment, and being a felon in possession of a handgun.
