The Met Gala is almost here, and it looks like the famously secretive guest list may have leaked — giving fans an early peek at some of the stars set to light up the iconic red carpet.

Known for drawing big names from entertainment, fashion, sports, and art, the Met Gala is part celebrity spectacle, part fundraiser tied to the Costume Institute’s annual theme — and this year’s theme, Superfine: Tailoring Black Style, will celebrate the history and influence of Black dandyism.

While co-chairs Colman Domingo, Lewis Hamilton, A$AP Rocky, and Pharrell Williams were already announced, the leaked list has only fueled the hype.

The A-list lineup is packed with stars like Rihanna, Sydney Sweeney, Hailey Bieber, Zendaya and Anne Hathaway.

Bad Bunny, Donatella Versace, Vera Wang, Usher, Kerry Washington, Jeremy Allen White, and Suki Waterhouse are also on the guest list. 

It’s shaping up to be a night packed with Hollywood’s biggest names — though some fans were surprised to see a few notable absences.

The list reveals a wave of A-listers expected to attend, including Sydney Sweeney, Zendaya, Anne Hathaway, Tracee Ellis Ross, Cynthia Erivo, and Bad Bunny

And Pharrell has high hopes for the Met Gala, the first to focus exclusively on Black designers, and the first in more than 20 years to have a menswear theme.

‘I want it to feel like the most epic night of power, a reflection of Black resiliency in a world that continues to be colonized, by which I mean policies and legislation that are nothing short of that,’ he recently told Vogue.

‘It’s our turn.’

The vision for this year’s Met Gala theme is said to have come from Monica L. Miller, a professor and chair of Africana Studies at Barnard College and Columbia University.

She wrote the book Slaves to Fashion: Black Dandyism and the Styling of Black Diasporic Identity, which explores how Black dandyism evolved from an aesthetic to a political statement. 

In her work, Miller highlights how Black individuals, once seen as luxury items during slavery, became trendsetters in their own right — shaping global fashion with their unique sense of style. 

The accompanying exhibit will showcase everything from garments to paintings, photographs, and video, all spotlighting the fashion of Black men.

As this year’s honorary chair, the NBA’s all-time leading scorer shared that his wife, Savannah James, will attend in his place at fashion’s biggest night.

‘Unfortunately because of my knee injury I sustained at the end of the season I won’t be able to attend the Met Gala in NY tonight as so many people have been asking and congratulating me on!’ James, 40, wrote on X, just hours before the Met Gala red carpet event.
