Whoopi Goldberg and Joy Behar are infuriated over President Donald Trump‘s latest round of tariffs that would target the Hollywood industry.

On this morning’s episode of The View, the Hot Topics panel discussed Trump’s plan to impose a 100% tariff on all movies coming into the United States that are produced on foreign lands. Goldberg was left practically speechless over the policy, noting that you can’t make The Passion of the Christ in Texas and Gladiator can’t be filmed without going to Rome.

“Could you please lower the price of eggs before you start this?” she asked.

The longtime moderator implored Trump and actor Jon Voight, who is currently serving as the Special Ambassador to Hollywood, to halt their plans, which are aimed to bring more productions to America.

“Please stop. I get what Jon is saying. I understand,” Goldberg said, referring to her previous notion that California has become too expensive to house movie and television productions. “But the bottom line is tax incentives — if you want to change, you got to change it in the States. You have to make it available to people to shoot here in the States. Don’t stop us from going over and shooting overseas because then you’re limiting us.”

“Not for nothing, the movies teach people English. We teach people who will never get to America what America is all about. We show them who we are,” she continued. “If you impose a tax like this, you are saying that we’re not good enough and that is not the case. We are the best in the world.”

Behar, for her part, felt like the new policy was just another way to distract Americans from the real problems Trump has been causing since he came back into office in January.

“Isn’t this just a distraction from the fact that he’s destroying the economy?” she asked. “It’s another card as they call it. He’s ruining everything so look at this, not this.”

Goldberg agreed, cheekily adding, “Well, look at this — the egg.”

The View airs on weekdays at 11/10c on ABC.
