NEWINGTON, Ga. () – The man wanted in connection to a fatal shooting in Screven County in April was arrested Wednesday, according to the Screven County Sheriff’s Office.

Demarion Butler, 19, was arrested May 7 on an outstanding warrant for Murder in the shooting death of 22-year-old Isaiah Barbee one month ago, on April 7.

The U.S. Marshals Service became involved on Friday, May 2, and attempted to arrest Butler with the aid of Effingham County Sheriff’s Office in the city of Rincon, Ga.
