Man wanted in reference to fraud in Richmond Co.

RICHMOND COUNTY, Ga. () – The Richmond County Sheriff’s Office is looking for a man who is wanted in reference to fraud.

According to authorities, Chad Adams, 41, (6’0″, 250 pounds, brown hair, brown eyes) has active warrants on file for the criminal charges of Theft by Conversion and Exploitation of Elderly or Disabled person which occurred on December 6th, 2024 at Curry Street.

According to the incident report, the victim stated that he gave Adams a signed, blank check for work that was to be done on his property, and he found out that Adams is not license to do the work.

The incident report states that according to the victim, without a contract and work being done, Adams made the check out to himself for $20,000, and the victim stated after talking with Adams, he continued to proceed with chasing the check without his permission.

The incident reports states that the victim is disabled and his children has Power of Attorney over him.
