Kylie Jenner and Timothée Chalamet recently made international headlines when they walked the red carpet together at the 70th David Di Donatello in Rome on May 7. They’ve been dating for two years but had never walked the carpet side by side until that evening.
While fans continued buzzing about the pair, Chalamet’s ex-girlfriend, Eiza Gonzalez, entered the chat by chiming in with a reaction of her own.

Chalamet’s ex publicly reacts to the red-carpet photos
After Vanity Fair posted some red carpet shots of The Kardashians star and Dune actor on Instagram, eagle-eyed fans noticed that Chalamet’s ex liked the photos.
Three years before Chalamet and Jenner got together, he and Gonzalez made headlines of their own when the paparazzi caught some steamy pics of them packing on the PDA in a pool during a getaway in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.
At the time, a source told E! News that Chalamet and Gonzalez “couldn’t keep their hands off of each other and had many romantic moments.”
The two never commented on their relationship after that or shared when they broke up. In 2023, Chalamet began seeing Jenner.
Expert says Jenner ‘calls the shots in the relationship’ and Chalamet is her ‘disciple’
Following Chalamet and Jenner’s red carpet debut, an expert shared what they showed through their poses.

Speaking on behalf of Fruity King, Honigman told Showbiz Cheat Sheet what she observed in Jenner and Chalamet’s body language on the red carpet, explaining: “Kylie is the one calling the shots in the relationship. She is the leader, and Timothee is only too happy to be her follower.”
Honigman continued: “As they pose on the red carpet, Kylie is seen leaning back into Chalamet, who is standing still. It shows that she feels safe in his environment and that she is dependent on him emotionally. But the important point is that it isn’t himself who is pulling her towards him, rather it is she who is actively leaning back. This means that she’s in the driver’s seat, and that her reliance on him is her choice.
“What this pose tells us is that Kylie is entirely capable of running her life by herself, but if she is to let a man come into her life, he has to perform well. One of her requirements is the man’s ability to be her ‘rock’, and Timothee goes along with the request. Kylie is showing strength, not weakness. As the two walk away from the red carpet, it is clearly Kylie who is stepping ahead, leading Chalamet by the arm. She makes the decisions, this tells us, upon the direction and the pace of their love story.”
The expert concluded: “Their joint hands, which form a love heart shape together, tell a whole story of their own. His protective hand is over her middle, keeping her safe, while his other hand is in his pocket, showing how calm he feels in her presence. The hand on top is Jenner’s. It is the dominant partner’s hand that is on top, and as the cosmetics mogul’s hand envelopes her actor partner’s fingers, it reveals that Kylie is in charge, and Timothee is her disciple.”
