Married to Medicine's "Sweet Tea" Is Leaving the Series after Two Seasons, See Her Announcement

The 11th season of Married to Medicine finished airing in April of this year, and there is already casting news. Cameras are said to be going up soon, but Lateasha ‘Sweet Tea’ Lunceford has confirmed that she will not be with the group of ladies moving forward. This comes after Sweet Tea and Dr. Gregory Lunceford had what many would call a difficult sophomore season on the show.

Fans will recall that Sweet Tea joined the cast of Married to Medicine for its 10th season. Her casting was notable because she was engaged to Greg, who is the ex-husband of cast member Quad Webb. While the casting decision made for a few bingeworthy moments, many fans feel the producers didn’t really get what they were expecting, as they think Lateasha never seemed right for the show.

Recently, Sweet Tea was on what looks to be an Instagram Live when she announced her departure. Luckily, the No Chaser TV account on TikTok captured the segment of the Live session. In it, she read a comment from a fan that basically said they were happy she wasn’t returning to the show because of how it worked out and because it was “foul.”

The Married to Medicine alum then said, “I mean, it definitely was foul, and I’m just gonna say, I haven’t really talked a lot about this, but I really wanted to leave it to my fans to figure out what was going on because know that I’m not a quitter.”

She continued, “Never ever been a quitter, and I ain’t never ran away from anybody, so I’m just putting that out there, but it just is what it is. I think that there are better things in store for me. I think that that platform was what it was for me at the moment, and I think that God has something better, and I’m going down the tight path. So, that’s all.”

This comes after Dr. Heavenly Kimes confirmed weeks ago that the show would go into production “next month.” Naturally, it’s anyone’s guess who they will get to replace Sweet Tea.
