Aaron Glenn already starting to make his mark on Jets

Aaron Glenn’s current position with the New York Jets is a stark contrast to his rookie days in 1994 when he played as a first-round cornerback for the Jets under head coach Pete Carroll. Back then, he wore jersey No. 31 and practiced on the field at Weeb Ewbank Hall at Hofstra, chasing his NFL dreams.

Fast forward to the present, he now leads the team as the head coach on the grounds of the Atlantic Health Jets Training Center. After stints as a position coach in New Orleans and a defensive coordinator in Detroit, he has finally achieved his aspiration of becoming the head coach of the Jets.

Glenn expressed his excitement about his new role, emphasizing the thrill of overseeing the entire team. Unlike his previous positions, he now has the opportunity to provide insights and guidance to players across all positions. This shift has brought him immense joy and allowed him to further develop as a coach by interacting with various players such as quarterbacks, running backs, defensive linemen, and linebackers.

Glenn hasn’t lost a game as head coach of the Jets, didn’t have to answer questions about the franchise’s 14-year playoff drought, won’t have to channel his inner Bill Parcells until the violent on-field mentality he will demand for the freakin’ New York Jets identity surfaces in earnest in training camp.
