Police have issued a fresh plea for information over the unsolved murder of two women in NSW 25 years ago.
Susan Kay, 32, and Joanne Teterin, 37, were both found dead inside a home on Doran Street in Carrington, a suburb of Newcastle in New South Wales, on May 17, 2000.

A murder investigation started, but nobody has ever been arrested or charged in connection with their deaths.

In 2003, a coronial inquest was held and the investigation was referred to the state’s unsolved crime homicide team.

Ahead of the 25th anniversary of Kay and Teterin’s murders, police are re-examining the case under Strike Force Raphoe II and are appealing for more information.

Homicide Squad Commander, Detective Superintendent Joe Doueihi said police are poring over the original file and will pursue new lines of inquiry.

“It was a brutal crime which has remained unsolved for 25 years,” Doueihi said.

“Homicide detectives are committed to seeking justice for the families of Susan and Joanne.

“We remain focused on finding the person or persons responsible and renew our appeal for anyone who may have held on to information – no matter how seemingly insignificant – to reach out to police.
