Meghan Markle means business.
Page six can confirm that Sarah Fosmo, a former employee of Bill Gates, has been appointed by the Duchess of Sussex as her first chief of staff as part of her efforts to expand her professional empire.
The Duchess of Sussex has enlisted Sarah Fosmo, who previously worked for Bill Gates, to serve as her chief of staff in a move to grow her professional endeavors, Page Six has confirmed.
Fosmo previously worked in the Microsoft co-founder’s office as deputy director of executive administration until December 2024.
Markle’s new senior advisor has experience “managing complex, high-stakes operations for ultra-high net worth individuals” and “being trusted with confidential matters,” per Fosmo’s LinkedIn page.
The move comes as the “Suits” alum, 43, now has a full plate with her As Ever lifestyle brand, Netflix series “With Love, Meghan” and “Confessions of a Female Founder” podcast, which all launched in the past several months.
Fosmo will oversee this “dynamic period of growth,” according to the Telegraph, which was first to report the news.
Meanwhile, a source tells Page Six that Lianne Cashin will continue her role as head of operations for Markle and Prince Harry’s Archewell organization after nearly four years.
The Duke of Sussex, 40, currently does not have his own chief of staff.
A rep for the couple did not immediately respond to Page Six’s request for comment.
The pair’s former chief of staff Josh Kettler abruptly left in August 2024 after only three months in the position.
“There were aspects of it that he wasn’t comfortable with,” an insider claimed to the Daily Mail at the time. “He thought it was better to leave now than to continue in a job that he did not enjoy.”
Meanwhile, a separate source told People that Kettler’s exit was a “mutual” decision with Markle and Harry since he had been hired on a trial basis.
They all allegedly agreed that he wasn’t the “right fit” for the role.
