Final Destination is making a comeback, and we are eagerly anticipating the new fears that the next film, Final Destination Bloodlines—also known as Final Destination 6—will instill in us. (I still can’t shake off the fear of driving behind log trucks on the highway!)
This horror series originated in 2000, conceived by screenwriter Jeffrey Reddick. The core concept involves the main character escaping death due to a premonition. However, destiny requires a sacrifice, leading the characters to face a series of increasingly absurd and Rube Goldberg-like accidents throughout the movie. In the Final Destination world, any minor mishap can trigger catastrophic outcomes.
Directed by Zach Lipovsky and Adam Stein, Final Destination Bloodlines serves as a direct sequel to the franchise’s fourth installment, 2009’s The Final Destination. Kaitlyn Santa Juana takes on the role of Stefani Reyes, a college student who discovers that her family’s existence is a mistake, as their predecessors had eluded death. Now, destiny is determined to correct this anomaly by claiming its intended victims.
If you watch just one Final Destination movie before this new one, make it Final Destination 4, aka The Final Destination. But if you want to catch up on the whole franchise, good news: You can watch all the Final Destination movies streaming on Max. Here’s how to watch all the Final Destination movies in chronological order, on streaming.
