Kim Kardashian’s appearance in a Paris courtroom adorned with jewelry was not random. According to the Daily Mail, it was a deliberate act meant as defiance towards the individuals who had stolen her gems in the past.

Kardashian attended court on Tuesday wearing an array of diamond accessories, including a striking necklace, cuff earrings, a ring, and an anklet. This extravagant display was intended to send a clear message to the men who were on trial for the 2016 robbery that made headlines.

A source close to the reality star told the Daily Mail that Kardashian’s display of wealth was very much deliberate – and cost around $6million.

‘The decision to wear these jewels was not about the value of the items. It was a strategic choice to convey that the thieves did not truly take anything away from her. Despite the ordeal, she has managed to rebuild her life and is now thriving,’ revealed an insider.

‘You could say that it was a total “f**k you” to them.’

It was also all captured in sparkling detail for the starlet’s Hulu reality show.

Wearing an estimated $6 million in jewels, Kardashian waved to fans before her testimony.

The source says that Kardashian considered several jewelry pieces before deciding on the lavish diamond necklace and earrings. She also wore a diamond tennis bracelet on her ankle.

‘This was an act of defiance,’ said our insider. ‘Don’t forget those a**holes terrorized her. She’s not about to let them change what she wears, or how she expresses herself.’

Kardashian, 44, and her mother, Kris Jenner, 69, led a short prayer circle before heading into Paris’s Palais de Justice on Tuesday afternoon.

It marked the first time Kardashian has confronted the suspected ‘grandpa gang’ – as local media dubbed them due to their old age – of Paris robbers who are accused of stealing jewelry worth $10 million from her during the 2016 Fashion Week in the French capital.

In the aftermath, Kardashian said she had vowed to stop showing off her jewels on social media. That seems now to have changed.

Dressed in a black blazer and skirt on Tuesday, Kardashian grew emotional as she testified about her terror at being robbed at gunpoint in her Paris hotel room.

‘I absolutely did think I was gonna die,’ she testified. ‘I was sure that I was going to be raped.’

But, when the robbers pushed her onto the bed, they did not sexually assault her, and instead tied her legs together.

‘At that point I was sure that’s when they were going to shoot me, so I said a prayer for my family and my mom and my sister and best friend,’ she testified.

Kardashian also testified that she repeatedly told the robbers, ‘I have babies and I need to get home to my babies.’

One robber heartlessly replied, ‘shut up,’ Kardashian recalled.

Kardashian told the court that she still bears psychological scars from the attack. She now has four to six bodyguards with her at all times.

Ten people are being tried on charges related to the heist.

In court, Kardashian told the gang’s ringleader that she forgives him for his crime and she believes in second chances.

‘I do forgive you,’ she said to Aomar Aït Khedache. ‘But it does not change the emotion and the trauma and how my life has changed.’

Kardashian said that her testimony in court was ‘closure’ for her.

‘She has been dreading this day for a long time, but also looking forward to it,’ our insider said. ‘This is her way of putting things behind her. And she was gracious and forgave them.

‘But there’s another side to that. She was wearing those jewels to say, “I’m facing you, and you mean nothing to me. I won’t think of you again when I leave this courtroom and you’re rotting in jail”.’
