Edwin Arroyave Submits Financial Records as He Moves Forward With Divorce From Teddi, Plus RHOBH Alum Fights Back Against Ex-Employee Accusing Her of Racial Discrimination in $2 Million Lawsuit

Teddi Mellencamp’s estranged husband, Edwin Arroyave, recently filed new documents amid their ongoing divorce.

After the former Real Housewives of Beverly Hills couple temporarily put a pause on the proceedings as Teddi, 43, tended to her brain cancer diagnosis, Edwin, 48, confirmed to the court that he had submitted a series of financial documents to Teddi, who is also in the midst of a $2 million legal battle with former employee Julia Umana, 71, an El Salvador immigrant she’s accused of discriminating against.

In Edwin’s filing, which was obtained by In Touch Weekly on May 12, he revealed he submitted a list of his current income and expenses, his assets and debts, and his and Teddi’s community and separate property.

In his initial response to Teddi’s November 2024 divorce filing, Edwin asked for “all assets, income from all sources, and obligations of each party are his/her separate property, except as specifically set forth therein.”

“The full nature and extent of [Edwin’s] separate property is not fully known to [Edwin] at this time. [Edwin] will amend this Response and/or file and/or serve appropriate further pleadings to set forth any additional information at a later time as more information becomes available to him,” his documents continued.

As for Teddi, she shared her financial records with Edwin in February.

In other RHOBH news, Teddi is firing back after being accused of being a horrible boss to her former employee, who claimed in a racial discrimination lawsuit that Teddi treated her white employees better than she treated her.

According to court documents obtained by In Touch Weekly last month, Teddi, 43, denied all of Julia’s allegations against her.

“[Julia’s] recovery, if any, must be reduced proportionately to the extent that any damages alleged by [Julia] is caused and contributed to by [Julia’s] own action,” read a portion of Teddi’s response, noting that any actions taken against Julia were based only on “legitimate, non-discriminatory, non-retaliatory” issues.

In addition to denying that Julia endured severe emotional distress during her employment, Teddi requested that the court throw out her lawsuit and award her no damages.

As fans may recall, Julia accused Teddi of failing to pay overtime wages, failure to pay minimum wage, and failure to provide rest and meal breaks, as well as wrongful termination.

“Exploiting Ms. Umana’s vulnerability, Teddi systematically violated wage and hour laws, engaged in race-based discrimination and harassment and subjected her to a hostile work environment,” Julia’s attorney alleged. “Teddi leveraged her perceived status to manipulate and mistreat Ms. Umana, knowing she had limited means to fight back.”

During Julia’s time with Teddi, she served as a household worker, assisted the podcast host with her youngest daughter, Dove, now 5, and cooked for Edwin.

“Teddi also monitored Ms. Umana’s whereabouts via home security audio and video recordings to ensure she was at the Encino home or otherwise performing work. Teddi also frequently screamed at Ms. Umana: ‘WHEN I ASK FOR SOMETHING, I NEED IT DONE RIGHT AWAY,’” Julia’s lawsuit claimed. “Teddi was rarely home. Most days, Teddi was gone before the sun rose and did not return until after dark. Teddi’s absences were sometimes due to her frequent equestrian activities or work commitments. But even after Teddi was no longer tied to the demands of her public career as a cast member of the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, the pattern did not change. She would leave for weeks at a time, leaving Ms. Umana to shoulder the burden of taking care of Dove and maintaining the household during her days of work.”

“As an El Salvadoran woman, Ms. Umana noted a stark contrast between the way Teddi treated her versus the way Teddi treated her white colleagues,” the suit continued. “Teddi frequently accused Ms. Umana and the other employees of Hispanic descent of stealing and interrogated them about purportedly committing theft — even though Teddi had security cameras installed inside the home and surely could have referred to the security footage to alleviate any alleged suspicions of theft.”
