ST. JOSEPH, Ill. (WCIA) — Success is nothing new for St. Joseph-Ogden baseball, who holds a 29-2 record on the season.

One more win this year would give the Spartans a third season with at least 30 wins in four years.

Seniors on this team take pride in their program’s winning ways, crediting the coaching staff for building a strong foundation.

“It’s just special, we have such a good culture here in St. Joe, coaches are amazing,” senior Jarden Altenbaumer said. “They work us to be our absolute best, and I just think our teammates have made it so much better.”

“I like being a part of this team because all the coaches teach me to be a strong person and just help me get better as a person every day,” senior Nolan Earley said. “I also love winning, and I’m very competitive in person, and they push me to be competitive and get better every day.”
