INDIANAPOLIS –Two seven-time champions in their respective sports are pairing up for a “G.O.A.T” drive to lead the field to green ahead of the Indianapolis 500 later this month.

According to a news release, Tom Brady, the lead NFL analyst for FOX and a seven-time Super Bowl winning quarterback, will ride in the Fastest Seat in Sports, in vehicle driven by seven-time NASCAR Cup Series champion and 2022 Indianapolis 500 Rookie of the year Jimmie Johnson, at the 109th Indianapolis 500 presented by Gainbridge.

The race will be hosted at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway on May 25. Coverage of the race will begin at 10 a.m. on FOX.

According to a news release, Brady, the winningest quarterback in NFL history, is a five-time Super Bowl MVP and has been named as the Associated Press’s Most Valuable Player three times. Brady won six of his seven championships with the New England Patriots.

After driving the vehicle, Johnson, the only driver in NASCAR history to win five consecutive titles, will fly to Charlotte and make his 700th career series start at Charlotte Motor Speedway. Johnson competed in the NTT INDYCAR SERIES for two seasons and qualified in the fourth row of the 2022 Indianapolis 500, according to the release.

“I love the Indy 500. There is an energy and excitement around the ‘500’ that is unlike anything I have experienced before,” Johnson said in the release. “Certainly, pre-race ceremonies are the ultimate racing experience that I’ve had outside of the car. I’m thrilled to be a part of the program and to see the stands full one more time. I’m extremely honored to come back and do it and to be able to also share this experience with another seven-time champion.”
