GREENEVILLE, Tenn. (WJHL) — One person was arrested after an alleged fight at Greeneville Community Hospital on Tuesday.

According to a report from the Greeneville Police Department (GPD), an officer responded to a fight in progress at the hospital’s emergency room.

A nurse told police an altercation started after family members came to check on an elderly patient.

“[The nurse] said that she saw [David] Lawson grab [the victim] by the shirt collar and push him out of the patient’s room and pushed him against the nurse’s station,” the report stated.

Lawson then allegedly began choking the victim.

Once the fight was broken up, the victim was reportedly admitted to the hospital due to their injuries.
