Brian Steel is a prominent criminal defense attorney in the Atlanta area. He is a partner at The Steel Law Firm, P.C., in Atlanta, GA. He handles cases ranging from RICO, wire fraud, immigration fraud and money laundering to murder, armed robbery, drug offenses, rape and child sex offenses in both state and federal courts.

Steel has represented attorneys, medical doctors, FBI Agents, judges, local law enforcement officers, elected officials, businessmen, professional athletes, accomplished musical artists and corporations as well as the most vulnerable clients – juveniles and indigent defendants.

Brian Steel represented Atlanta rapper Young Thug in the YSL racketeering trial that lasted nearly two years — the longest criminal trial in Georgia history. Young Thug, whose real name is Jeffery Lamar Williams, ended up pleading guilty to several drug-, gun- and gang-related offenses and received a sentence of 15 years probation.

Steel was briefly sent to jail during the trial after the judge overseeing the case held him in contempt for refusing to provide the judge information about what he learned of a meeting between prosecutors, a witness and the judge himself. The contempt ruling was later overturned, ABC News reported.
