Lala Kent has been diagnosed with pre-cancer on her eye.

In a series of video updates shared to her Instagram Story, the 34-year-old Vanderpump Rules alum, who welcomed her second daughter, Sosa, last September, confirmed that she will be heading into chemotherapy treatments in hopes of ridding her eye of the cancer cells.

“So I originally went to an eye doctor, and he was like, ‘Oh yeah, it just looks like an enflamed pinguecula.’ And a lot of people wrote in and were saying that same type of thing, or like, ‘Maybe it’s allergies,’” Lala began in one of her video posts.

Although she was getting a lot of the same ideas, Lala said that the pinguecula diagnosis “didn’t feel right,” especially after the prescribed eye drops failed to heal her. So, she sought out a second opinion from another doctor who “came very highly recommended.”

“He looked at it and said, ‘I do not think that it’s that at all. I actually want to biopsy it because to me, it looks like it could be pre-cancer,’” she shared.

At that point, the doctor was attempting to get Lala into surgery to remove the discolored growth, which Lala first noticed about a month and a half to two months ago, and find out if it was cancerous or not.

“It could be nothing, and that is the hope that when they go in, like, it’s nothing,” Lala continued, noting that the plan, at that time, was to numb the eye, remove the growth, and either put a stitch or do a skin graft to repair it.

“I’m kind of freaking out a little,” she admitted.

Then, in a second video update, Lala revealed a late-night text she received from her doctor.

“I’m so grateful. He said, ‘The specialist can see you tomorrow at 9 a.m.’ So I was there at 9 a.m. She looked at it. She said that it is pre-cancer, and she said, ‘I want to start you on chemotherapy drops,’” she told her online audience.

“Now, I know that sounds terrifying. I cried, obviously,” she continued.

Lala then said that the doctor recommended chemotherapy drops.

“She said, ‘I want you to do the chemo drops for three months. We’re gonna do a week of them and go off for three weeks. And we’re gonna do that for three months. At that point in time, God willing, it kills all of the cancerous cells,’” Lala recalled.

As for what would happen if the chemotherapy doesn’t work, Lala and her doctor will “talk about surgery.”

Vanderpump Rules season 12 is currently in production with an all-new cast.
