SAVANNAH, Ga. () — Johnson High School had two more basketball student athletes put pen to paper to sign to play at the next level Thursday.

Senior Guard Samuel Priester signed to further his academic and athletic career at South Georgia Institute.

“Sometimes players from Savannah get overlooked,” said Priester. “So being able to get out and go to college tryouts is something I would’ve never been expected to do,”

Senior forward Shatiq Parker also signed on to play at the next level. Parker will be a student-athlete at New Rock Prep Academy.

“My favorite part about being at Johnson was communicating more,” Parker said. “Being myself. This is a school I can be myself at. I can network with everyone. Talk to my teachers and coaches about anything I need to talk to them about.”

This makes three signings from this senior class.
