WARRENTON, Ga. () – Agents from the Georgia Bureau of Investigation are investigating a shooting that took place in Warrenton on Wednesday at the request of the Warrenton Police Department.

According to police, 35-year-old Randall Boyd of Warrenton allegedly entered the Jet Convenience Store on Main Street in Warrenton and shot at a woman on May 14. No other individuals in the convenience store were injured in the shooting.

Boyd reportedly left the store and while traveling on Legion Drive, veered off the road and crashed into the woods on the shoulder of Legion Drive. He was found in the car with an apparent gunshot wound and pronounced dead at the scene of the crash by the Warren County Coroner.

The crash is being investigated by the Georgia State Patrol.
