Chris Brown Charged And Arrested: What Happened?
British officials announced on Thursday that US musician Chris Brown has been arrested and charged with causing grievous bodily harm in relation to an alleged incident in February 2023.
According to separate releases from the Crown Prosecution Service (CPS) and London’s Metropolitan Police, Brown is scheduled to appear before a magistrates’ court on Friday.
According to authorities, the arrest is related to an incident that happened on February 19, 2023, at a location in Hanover Square.
According to the Sun, Brown, 36, was taken into custody at a Manchester hotel in relation to a claimed bottle attack on a music producer at the Tape nightclub in central London.
According to complainant Mr. Diaw, R&B singer Brown allegedly attacked him without cause at around three in the morning as he and his group were at the hip-hop Tape nightclub.
Brown is due to perform on 10 more dates in Britain next month – but the tour could be thrown into chaos by the police investigation.
Diaw has launched a civil claim against Brown for $16 million(£12 million) in damages for injuries and losses suffered as a result of the alleged attack.
Detectives from the Central West Area Basic Command Unit are in charge of the investigation.
After being arrested, he is believed to have been brought to a nearby police station to be questioned.
