According to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office, the man was in his mid-30s.
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. — A man in his mid-30s was pronounced dead Thursday night after being found with multiple gunshot wounds inside of a crashed vehicle on Jacksonville’s Westside, according to the Jacksonville Sheriff’s Office.
JSO Sgt. La’Tosha Thompson said at approximately 9:16 p.m., patrol officers responded to the 8600 block of Herlong Road in reference to a “crash with injuries.”
When officers arrived on scene, Thompson said they found the man with several gunshot wounds.
Members of the Jacksonville Fire and Rescue Department then responded to the scene and pronounced the man dead.
Thompson said JSO’s homicide and crime scene units are investigating the incident.
No suspect information was provided by the sheriff’s office.
