Teddi Mellencamp offered some “exciting news” about her cancer diagnosis on the latest episode of her and Tamra Judge‘s podcast.

In addition to addressing her possible return to The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for its recently confirmed 15th season, Teddi, 43, confirmed that her lung tumors are shrinking as she revealed her two-year cancer treatment plan.

“I have an update [and] exciting news,” Teddi began on the May 14 episode of Two Ts in a Pod. “So last time they had checked solely my brain, and those tumors were shrinking, and then today, I had the scan where they checked my lungs, and they are shrinking. And one of them has shrunk so much, you can barely even see it. So, it’s really, really good news, I’m definitely so relieved, I’m also, if I sound a little weird, it’s because I’m in the middle of the immunotherapy treatment right now. But what they said was, ‘This is good news.’ It means my body is responding to everything, but I do need to live on immunotherapy for the next two years.”

According to Teddi, she will undergo immunotherapy treatment every four weeks for the next two years, and she will also be scanned every three weeks to make sure that the treatment is continuing to work.

For now, Teddi is looking forward to one day being in remission.

“The part that I was confused about, I thought that like, once the tumors start going away, I’m like, ‘So, does that mean I’m cancer free?’ And [my doctor’s] like, ‘No.’ He’s like, ‘We will let you know when you are in remission. But at this point, everything’s just heading the correct way.’”

While Teddi’s doctor also told her that she can “do absolutely anything” at this point in her recovery, he confirmed that she still can’t drive for another three months due to a recent seizure.

When Tamra, 57, asked for more details about her treatment, Teddi explained what the immunotherapy treatments do to her tumors.

“It’s making sure that it’s getting smaller, and then let’s say it gets so small that it disappears, it’s making sure that it won’t form anywhere else in my body,” she revealed.

Also on Two Ts in a Pod, during a conversation with Dolores Catania, 54, Teddi spoke of the possibility of returning to RHOBH after the Real Housewives of New Jersey star suggested Bravo “could use” her on the show.

“I have no idea. No clue … I plead the fifth,” Teddi teased.

Then, after Dolores noted, “Timing is everything and I think it’s your time,” Teddi signaled to past claims of being too “boring” for the series.

“Well, I am just so boring and I’m all the things. Nothing’s going on with me, so I have no idea what I’d be talking about,” she stated. “If I’m lucky, more of what’s happening right now can happen to me, and then you guys can all see it play out. But truly, I have no idea.”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 15 is expected to go into production sometime in the coming months.
