Below Deck Down Under Season 3 is nearing its final charter and there has been a lot of drama aboard the Katina. Captain Jason Chambers was forced to make tough calls, including firing several crew members. Despite the onboard drama, the remaining team, plus a few new additions, managed to rally and deliver top-tier service for each and every new charter guest.

This season of Below Deck Down Under has been full of boatmances, but one that fans may be rooting for is the budding relationship between deckhand Harry Van Vliet and stewardess Brianna Duffield. Though things started off a bit slow for Brianna’s liking, the two have grown closer and genuinely seem to enjoy each other’s company. However, in the latest episode, Brianna begins to question whether their romance should stay on the boat or continue once the charter season comes to an end.

Stewardess Brianna Duffield Is Hesitant To Define Her Relationship With Deckhand Harry Van Vliet In Latest Episode

On the latest episode of Below Deck Down Under Season 3, titled “Smoochies,” stewardess Brianna Duffiled begins to worry about how her romance will continue with deckhand Harry Van Vliet. The two have had a budding romance throughout the season, but it appears that it might not continue when the two are off the Katina as the charter season nears its end.

As their romance blossomed, Brianna expressed frustration that Harry was moving a little too slowly. In an earlier episode, he turned down the opportunity to be with Bri in a guest cabin. After a failed boatmance last season, Harry didn’t want to mess this one up. Bri shared in a confessional that she saw their relationship “fading out,” if he didn’t start making some moves.

In Episode 6, Bri shared that things were moving so slowly, she even questioned if he still liked her. “We go on a date, and we don’t discuss anything after that,” she says. “I hate the land of uncertainty,” the stew said.

But, by Episode 9, viewers see Harry setting up a guest cabin for him and Bri with the help of chief stew Lara Rigby, who tells him he needs to start moving a bit quicker. Unfortunately, during the second to last charter of the season, Brianna questions if their relationship is worth continuing outside the boat.

“I think he’s amazing and he’s relationship potential. I’m excited to travel with him and stuff,” Brianna told Lara. “I finally got to a point where I was just like happy on my own.” She also shares with Lara that she isn’t ready for the title of “girlfriend.”

In a confessional, she admits, “It hasn’t been more than a year since I broke up with my ex-fiancé, so I don’t know if emotionally I’m ready to invest into someone yet … I don’t know if we’re completely compatible. I’m a little unsure.”

Brianna And Harry Had Made Plans To Travel After The Season Was Over In Episode 15

In the same episode, Brianna and Harry are seen snuggling in her cabin as they discuss their plans once they are off the charter. Harry shared that he would like to travel with Brianna, and she agrees.

“I’m happy. You make me happy. I would love to keep traveling with you after the season … go to Cape Town. Safari! Just us,” he tells her. Bri responded, “You’re going to be such an amazing travel partner. I’m so excited.”

However, when Harry discussed staying in a hostel in New York, she was not on the same page. “I stayed in a hostel. Once. It was a communal bathroom. Never again.” Viewers will have to tune in to next week’s episode to see how Bri and Harry handle their romance and if they do end up leaving the boat together. But, it doesn’t seem promising after Bri seemed to be the one pulling away.

During an appearance on Watch What Happens Live with Andy Cohen, Bri gave more insight into her boatmance with Harry. She didn’t deny or confirm if they were still together after the season ended as to not spoil the season finale, but she did admit that they were on good terms.

“Harry and I are very, very close. We talk often, but you’re gonna have to wait and ’til the season ends to see how this escalates,” she told the host.

Bri also revealed that she’s “been living in Australia since November,” which adds an interesting layer to her dynamic with Harry. While Harry is a native Aussie, Bri originally hails from New Jersey. During a conversation with Andy, she admitted that she was actually the one who wanted their relationship on the Katina to “carry over to land,” while Harry, she noted, was “more afraid of commitment.”

So when Bri expressed hesitation about labeling their relationship in Episode 15, it may have stemmed more from uncertainty about Harry’s feelings than her own.

Below Deck Down Under Will Return With Season 4

Season 3 of Below Deck Down Under is nearing its end, but fans won’t have to wait long for more. Bravo has confirmed that a new season is already on the horizon. According to Screen Rant, filming for Season 4 is underway, with Captain Jason back in action. While it’s still unclear whether any of the current crew members will be back, a few familiar faces from the Below Deck franchise are reportedly returning and it’s getting fans incredibly excited.

In April, Bravo’s Instagram account shared a photo of Jason filming the new season. However, what made longtime fans really ecstatic was seeing the captain posing alongside fan-favorite chef Ben Robinson, who will return as Season 4’s chef. Ben starred as the chef for Below Deck’s first-ever season. He returned for the following season, and also in Season 3, when he had to take over near the end of the season. Ben also returned for Season 4.

In the same photo, fans also spotted Below Deck Sailing Yacht’s Daisy Kelliher. Daisy has been the chief stew for BDSY from Seasons 2-5. Bravo did not confirm the return of the spinoff series during their announcement of renewals and brand-new shows, but fans are more than thrilled to see Daisy working alongside Jason.

The new season will also see an exciting Bravo crossover with the women of Season 5 of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City as guests on the superyacht. The Instagram post showed Mary Cosby and Angie Katsanevas posing with Jason, Ben, and Daisy.

It’s not yet confirmed when the new season will air, but Screen Rant believes it will be out sometime next year. In the meantime, fans can still watch the few episodes that remain for Season 3.
