Former President Biden’s granddaughter, Naomi, tore into the authors of a forthcoming political book that makes new claims about steps taken in the Biden White House to shield the American public from signs of the former president’s cognitive decline.

In a post Tuesday on X, Naomi Biden said that she just read an early copy of the “silly” book — “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” by CNN’s Jake Tapper and Axios’s Alex Thompson — and dismissed it as “political fairy smut for the permanent, professional chattering class,” adding, “The ones who rarely enter the arena, but profit from the spectacle of those that do.”

“Put simply, it amounts to a bunch of unoriginal, uninspired lies written by irresponsible self promoting journalists out to make a quick buck,” she wrote.

Naomi Biden attacked the book for relying on “unnamed, anonymous sources,” saying it pushes “a self-serving false narrative that absolves them of any responsibility for our current national nightmare.”

She touted her grandfather’s character and said she’s confident the “truth” would be told one day.

“All of this at the expense of a man so completely good and honest that it is impossible for these people to ever understand the why or how of it all. There are real stories to be told and one day they will be. I suspect history will reward the truth,” she said.

The Hill has reached out to the publisher for a response.

The message comes a day before the book is set to hit the shelves. But, ahead of its official release, the book has generated significant media chatter and has prompted public reflection from high-profile Democrats about whether they initially made a mistake in backing Biden’s reelection campaign, which he ended less than four months before the November election.

Amid the media firestorm surrounding the book, Biden revealed that he has been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer.
