Linda Moreno is an American criminal defense attorney and jury consultant. She is an International Associate Tenant at 5 King’s Bench Walk Chambers in London, England. She is the first International Associate tenant of 5KBW.

Ms. Moreno specializes in high-profile complex criminal trial litigation, with a focus on white collar, espionage and national security cases. She has tried nearly 300 jury trials across the United States to verdict, and teaches trial advocacy from Los Angeles to London. She is an expert in jury selection and the evaluation of juror profiles.

Before joining 5 King’s Bench Walk Chambers, Moreno was as an Associate Tenant at Doughty Street Chambers in London, a leader in the defense of international human rights, from 2009 to 2021.

Her clients have ranged from the actor Wesley Snipes to Guantanamo detainee Mohamedou Salahi. She has been retained by foreign embassies, including the Islamic Republic of Pakistan and the Embassy of the Arab Republic of Egypt, to defend their nationals in American courtrooms.

Ms. Moreno has practised in criminal defence in both state and federal courts for over three decades. She is a member of the State Bars of California and Florida and is a member of the United States Supreme Court Bar. She is Co-Chairperson of the National Security Committee for the National Association of Criminal Defense Lawyers and has current Secret Security clearance.

Education

Moreno attended the University of Southern California on a full scholarship and majored in English. She received her J.D. from Southwestern Law School. According to The Tampa Bay Times, she took out loans and worked as a witness coordinator for the Los Angeles city attorney to pay for tuition at Southwestern Law School.
