A West Virginia woman was arrested this week after young children made several 911 calls crying and screaming.

Amanda Lynn Spurlock, 32, was charged with two counts of child neglect with risk of injury, WCHS reported.

Court documents say deputies were sent to the home Monday night after several 911 calls came in from children. Deputies found two children in dirty diapers at the home, and a search uncovered an empty pill bottle, marijuana, burnt piles of foil “consistent with illegal drug use,” and “a white powdery substance.” All of those items were in easy reach of the children.

Spurlock was found “lying on the floor passed out” in a bedroom and appeared to be intoxicated when she woke up.

She reportedly admitted to regularly using fentanyl for the passed two weeks, including smoking the drug while the children were present.

She’s being held on a $20,000 bail. No information was available on the status of the children or their relationship with Spurlock.
