Kanye West and Kim Kardashian battled over text before he released a song with Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs. Here’s what he told her.

Kanye West dropped a new song featuring his daughter, North West, reportedly prompting a battle with Kim Kardashian. Since-deleted screenshots shared by West show a disagreement over the song and the fact that Kardashian trademarked her children’s names. The screenshots show West threatening to escalate the feud.

West released the song “Lonely Roads Still Go to Sunshine,” which features North, Christian “King” Combs, singer Jasmine Williams, and Sean “Diddy” Combs. West shared screenshots of a conversation with Kardashian, in which they appear to argue about the song. She reportedly sent West paperwork regarding the song.

“I sent paper work over so she wouldn’t be in the Diddy song,” the text reads, per TMZ. “To protect her.”

They argued about the fact that Kardashian trademarked her children’s names.

“I asked u at the time if I can trademark her name,” Kardashian wrote. “You said yes. When she’s 18 it goes to her.”

She added, “We agreed when they were born I would get all of our kids names and trademarks. So no one else would take them.”

Kardashian reportedly tried to prevent North from appearing on the song, prompting an angry response from West.

“Amend it or I’m going to war. And neither of us will recover from the public fallout,” he wrote, adding, “You’re going to have to kill me.”

West went ahead and released the song after the text correspondence with Kardashian.
