MSNBC host Joe Scarborough appeared to defend an interview where he declared then-president Joe Biden was at his best ever level.

Questions about the former president’s decline when he was in office have intensified after he was diagnosed with an aggressive type of prostate cancer.

In March 2024, Scarborough appeared to give a glowing review of Biden.

“I’ve said it for years now, he’s cogent,” the host said at the time.

“But I undersold it when I said he was cogent, he’s far beyond cogent. In fact, I think he’s better than he’s ever been, intellectually, analytically, because he’s been around for 50 years.”

Scarborough was probed by the journalist Mark Halperin on whether it was “misleading” to say the Biden of March 2024 was the “best ever” form of him.

The commentator wasn’t fazed by Biden’s gaffes while in office.

“Are some of the clips bad? Yeah, they certainly are bad,” he admitted.

“That didn’t seem to me to get in the way of Joe Biden being able to analyze the most important issues.”

Biden was forced to drop out of the 2024 presidential race just months after Scarborough’s assessment.

Biden’s diagnosis was announced on Sunday and well-wishes have poured in.

His office announced that the cancer had spread to his bones.

Did Joe Biden reveal he had cancer in a 2022 speech slip-up?

The cancer had a Gleason score rank of nine and is in Group 5, meaning the cells look “very abnormal.”

It was identified after a nodule was detected on his prostate, which required further examination.

Biden thanked people for their well wishes on Monday.

“Cancer touches us all,” Biden wrote on X, paired with a picture of himself with his wife and their cat.

“Like so many of you, Jill and I have learned that we are strongest in the broken places.

“Thank you for lifting us up with love and support.”

But, theories are now being touted claiming the illness may have been covered up.

Donald Trump was shocked by the timing of the announcement concerning the former president.

Kevin O’Connor, who was Biden’s White House physician, gave him a clean bill of health just months before he left office.

Leading oncologist expert Dr Zeke Emanuel claimed Biden likely had cancer at the start of his presidency in 2021.

“He had it while he was President,” he suggested.

What are the symptoms every man needs to know?

In most cases, prostate cancer doesn’t have any symptoms until the growth is big enough to put pressure on the urethra – that tube you pee through.

Symptoms include:

  • Needing to urinate more often, especially at night
  • Needing to rush to the toilet
  • Difficulty in starting to pee
  • Weak flow
  • Straining and taking a long time while peeing
  • Feeling that your bladder hasn’t emptied fully

Many men’s prostates get larger as they age because of the non-cancerous conditions, prostate enlargement, and benign prostatic hyperplasia.

In fact, these two conditions are more common than prostate cancer – but that doesn’t mean the symptoms should be ignored.

The signs that cancer has SPREAD include bone, back, or testicular pain, loss of appetite, and unexplained weight loss.

“He probably had it at the start of his presidency, in 2021.”

Calls have even mounted for Biden’s wife, Jill Biden, to be charged with elder abuse.

Biden’s diagnosis came just years after he sparked concern when he appeared to reveal he had cancer.

He raised eyebrows when making the reference during a speech about pollution in 2022.

“That’s why I and so damn many other people I grew up with have cancer and why for the longest time Delaware had the highest cancer rate in the nation,” Biden said.

The White House quickly rushed to clarify Biden’s remarks, saying he had non-cancerous skin legions removed.

In 2023, Biden had a skin lesion removed from his chest, which was classified as basal cell carcinoma.
