Father accused of 2018 murders back in Effingham County court

EFFINGHAM COUNTY, Ga. () — The father accused of murdering two of his children in 2018 was back in Effingham County court Wednesday.

Elwyn Crocker Sr. and his alleged co-conspirators, Kimberly Wright and Mark Wright, are facing charges for the murder of Elwyn Crocker Jr. and Mary Crocker. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty for all three parties, who were in court Tuesday.

The bodies Mary and Elwyn Jr. were found buried in the yard of the Crocker family home in 2018. Mary was 14-years old when she died. Elwyn Jr. is believed to have been dead for two years when his body was found. He would have been 16-years old that year. 

Defense challenges state’s evidence and witness testimony

Regarding the dozens of motions addressed in court this week, Judge Matthew Hube has made no decisions. Elwyn Sr. is expected back in court on June 16th. No trial date has been set.
