A person who saw the terror incident in Washington, DC, became emotional as they remembered the moment when the attacker approached the Israeli embassy staff with a chilling calmness, almost like he recognized them, and then callously shot the young couple.

John Elleson told Sky News he was just “walking by” the Capital Jewish Museum late Wednesday when “this guy came up” with what “looked like a gun.”

“I couldn’t tell what it was, but I heard it afterward — the shots,” the shocked witness said.

“And he shot this young couple,” Elleson said of Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Milgrim.

Elleson paused to bat away tears and take several deep breaths before continuing his recollection of the terrorist.

“Then he ran inside, and he yelled something — I couldn’t make it out,” he said, his voice cracking.

“He just ran up … it was terrible. It was terrible, ” he said.

“I don’t think he knew them, but he went right up to them,” he recalled with clear disbelief.

Cops have said that Elias Rodriguez, 31, later admitted being the shooter.

He was seen in video shouting “Free Palestine” after the murder of the young couple, who were due to get engaged next week.
