Secrets We Keep was indeed filmed in Denmark, with the creators making sure to add realism and weight to their story by shooting on location in and around Copenhagen and its wealthiest suburbs.

Copenhagen’s North Coast was especially featured to help portray the dark underbelly behind the show’s main characters’ and homes’ glossy, seemingly-perfect exteriors. Actual structures in and around Copenhagen were also utilized as both exterior and interior filming locations to contribute to the show’s overall aesthetic. Two such places were the Gotfred Tvedes mansion and Hvidøre House, which are both mansions north of Denmark’s capital city, while the interior of an additional mansion on central Copenhagen’s Amaliegade Street was also utilized.

Secrets We Keep also used Copenhagen outdoor spaces like Bellevue Beach’s Temple Sea Bath and Ørsted Park to further build out and immerse viewers in the show’s world.
