SAVANNAH, Ga. () — LoveFood, the website that highlights the best places to eat in the U.S., has picked Savannah as a bucket-list foodie city.

Coming in at number 22 on their list, they say even though Savannah may be one of the smaller cities they highlight, when it comes to food, the Hostess City is larger than life.

The website singles out Savannah’s endless contemporary Southern restaurants serving modern takes on traditional dishes – often in a charming setting, too.

The Grey regularly tops ‘best of’ lists for good reason; its smashed new potatoes, not to mention dishes like sweet potato with coconut collard greens, are out of this world. For something more old-school, don’t miss Mrs. Wilkes Dining Room, where giant bowls of fried chicken, mashed potatoes, greens and mac ‘n’ cheese are served sharing style.
