Love On The Spectrum’s Connor and Georgie Made Me Believe In Love Again

When it comes to reality television, dating shows occupy a special place within the genre. On The Bachelor, several women compete to win the heart of one particular man. On 90 Day Fiancé, long-distance couples have 90 days to figure out if they truly want to get married. These shows bring drama and suspense, but also get viewers emotionally connected with the stars.

The Netflix series Love on the Spectrum features couples who are on the autism disorder spectrum. The show explores how these individuals date, find love, and maintain relationships within that spectrum. Connor Tomilson was introduced to viewers in Season 2 and won fans over instantly. In Season 3, he met Georgie Harris and the two started dating. They have become fan favorites, and I am particularly inspired by their connection.

Connor’s Mother Gave Fans An Update On His Relationship With Georgie Post-Production

According to Connor Tomilson’s mother, Georgie Harris is still his “demigoddess.” Fans of Love on the Spectrum were thrilled to see her provide an update on where their relationship stands after production on the show stopped in July 2024. Lise Menard Smith spoke with Today in April 2025 about her son’s romance.

“They’re going strong,” Lise said, referring to her son as a “smitten kitten.” When explaining how happy Connor is to be with Georgie, she said, “He’s just over the moon.”

When Connor was a child, he was diagnosed with level one autism. Autism Speaks explains that people who are on the autism disorder spectrum have a difficult time with social skills, repetitive behaviors, speech and nonverbal communication.

Lise did say that Connor initially became confused about their relationship status when Georgie wasn’t returning his texts. “He was getting mixed signals. You know, Georgie is on the spectrum too, God bless her, and her phone battery dies a lot. There’s some executive planning stuff going on. And there are some sensory things,” she said.

Lise described a moment when Connor believed he had done something wrong because Georgie pulled her hand away when he tried to hold it. “I told him, ‘Connor, you two need to talk to each other. You need to express how you feel in the moment, and maybe she can explain why she’s not in the mood to hold hands — because I’m pretty sure she’s going to say it’s because it’s so hot outside and she doesn’t want to be touching,” she said.

During the Season 3 premiere, Connor said that he wanted to find a relationship where things progressed to a “more physical level.” However, Lise said that it would take more time for that to happen.

“They’re so good together, but I think they need to clock more dates,” she explained. “Connor is a little bit of a rule follower in his mind, it was always, ‘You need to be married in order to do that,’ but as he’s aged, he’s gotten a little bit more flexible in thought. He’s started to think about it. And I want to support him in whatever experience he wants to have.”

Lise shared how happy she was to see the progress Connor had made in his dating life. “If you had told me when Connor was 2, 3, or 4 years old that one day he’d be dating and talking to me about these things, I would have said, ‘You’re lying,’” she said. Lise said that the two will start having a weekly date every Thursday beginning in June, since they both live in Atlanta.

The couple shared one of the most romantic moments in the history of the series, when Connor and Georgie shared their first kiss underneath an umbrella. They quickly became fan favorites of Love on the Spectrum in Season 3.

“That was amazing,” Connor said before Georgie pointed out that it had stopped raining. Connor told Georgie he felt “dizzy” from the experience because he was so moved. She responded by gently holding her hands on his elbows for balance and helped him sit down. Moments like these are very genuine and show that real love is out there for everyone, including myself.

Connor Revealed How He And Georgie Spent Their Valentine’s Day Together

That same month, Connor and Lise spoke to People about the experience of being on reality television and what he learned about navigating relationships through Love on the Spectrum.

“It was amazing, profound, nerve-racking,” he said of his experience in Season 3. “It’s taught me a lot of lessons, like how to open a door for the lady, pull her seat out, listen to when she speaks, but it also made me realize what I’m capable of, or incapable of.”

Connor said he saw “a lot of cool places” and that the series “really helped me mature” in the dating realm. He also said the experience taught him how to “control yourself” around dates. However, there were also moments when he felt “discouraged” about finding the right person and unsure about dating in general.

“I mean, it’s a lot of responsibility,” he said. “You got to remember special days. You got to remember certain things. You got to know things. It’s a lot of pressure.”

While everyone was thrilled to hear Connor’s mom give an update on his relationship with Georgie, they were also eager to hear from Connor himself. He told People that while they are still together, he and Georgie are navigating communication issues as relationships are very new to them.

Lise said that Connor has difficulties reading “a female’s emotions,” and he added that he is planning on having a conversation with Georgie so he can figure out “where I stand really.” “Dating’s complicated, right?” Lise asked her son. She then shared, “He’s been getting some mixed signals from her, he wants to have a talk with her. The navigating female signals has been a little bit of a hurdle, so they need to set up a time.”

Despite their issues communicating, Connor and Georgie have been enjoying the time they’ve spent together. They even spent their first Valentine’s Day together this past February. “We went to Medieval Times,” Connor recalled. Lise pointed out that Connor upgraded Georgie to the “queen’s package” where they both got front row seats to the joust.

Connor revealed he gifted her “a blanket with her and her old dog on it.” He said Georgie got him a similar gift. “She got me a blanket [with a photo] of when she came over to my house of us holding my dogs,” he said.

Fans of Love on the Spectrum first became enamored with Connor thanks to his sarcastic quips and dedication to brunettes. This made him one of the show’s most memorable cast members. After not much success in Season 2, Connor made a comeback in Season 3. He was ready for another chance at love and viewers saw him find it with Georgie.

While Connor has confirmed the two are still dating, Georgie herself also confirmed their status. She posted on her Instagram about their relationship. The couple has won over so many fans, there are even rumors they will get their own spin-off series.

“SPOILER ALERT, though if you’ve found me, then you have probably already seen Love on the Spectrum Season 3,” Georgie’s post read. “I am happy to finally be able to say that Connor and I are still together and having a great time. I can’t wait to see him again soon.”

Connor has gained nearly 800,000 Instagram followers since his debut in Season 2. He regularly posts comedic quips and collaborates with fellow Love on the Spectrum cast members. Connor also proved his business savvy by turning his catchphrases from the show into merchandise.

He is selling “I love Brunettes” caps and hoodies. He’s also selling a sticker collection which features his memorable quotes like, “Love is a dagger” and “Must I write you a poem?” However, Connor makes sure to give back as well. The reality star donated proceeds from two of his T-shirts to the Spectrum Autism Support Center for Autism Awareness Month.

In one memorable moment from season three, Connor reacted to his mother trying to set him up on a date with a woman who was blonde. Connor wasn’t happy and firmly stood on his preference to only date brunettes. The scene went viral and Connor was applauded for his passionate devotion to women who are brunettes.

Despite public approval, Connor still decided to post a cheeky “formal apology” to the blondes of the world. Connor posted a video of him smiling as he made a heart with his hands. He overlayed the video with text that read, “Consider this my formal apology to all blondes.” His caption read, “Sorry blondes! But I did find my brunette demigoddess.”

His playful post caught the attention of The Bachelor‘s Kelsey Anderson, who posted her own cheeky comment, “Stay true to the brunettes king.” Comedian and actress Nikki Glaser also commented, writing jokingly, “I’m growing out my roots now.”
