Jesse Solomon confirmed a crush on a Bravo star during an interview last week, just as rumors began swirling in regard to his alleged hookup with Erika Jayne.

As an insider came forward, sharing details about the 31-year-old Summer House star’s reported rendezvous with the 53-year-old Real Housewives of Beverly Hills cast member and explaining how the encounter began, Jesse opened up about a potential date between him and the unnamed Bravolebrity and admitted the mystery girl was someone he was “excited about.”

“There’s a girl that I’m excited about that I didn’t know existed a week ago,” he confirmed to PEOPLE on May 22. “We connected on Instagram, and I was going to go on a date with her, and then I was kind of just like, I think this isn’t just such a casual date, if you go on a date with somebody from Bravo, and people are going to see us.”

“So I’m not going to say who it is, but yeah, there’s a girl that I’m excited about,” Jesse added.

Meanwhile, after noting that “nothing serious [was] going on” with Erika and Jesse, an insider claimed the Bravo stars’ relationship began earlier this month in New York City, where the NBCUniversal Upfronts were taking place.

“They were seen flirting and getting cuddly while out at a bar in New York City a few weeks ago,” a source told Us Weekly on May 23. “After their Watch What Happens Live With Andy Cohen appearance, they ended up hanging out afterward.”

According to the report, Jesse and Erika engaged in some friendly banter with one another upon their first meeting, and ultimately, that chemistry led to an innocent, fun encounter.

“Jesse was very straightforward with her, and Erika was into it,” the source revealed. “It was playful, and they were just having fun.”

Just months ago, on an episode of her and Teddi Mellencamp‘s Diamonds in the Rough podcast, by Two Ts in a Pod, Erika revealed that when it comes to her attraction to men, it’s all about chemistry.

“I’m not very good with the old dialogue. I’m very direct, very to the point, and men don’t like that,” she explained in November 2024. “I never look at men and find them attractive. I always say this. I’m never looking at the way someone looks, necessarily. I’m always looking at the feeling I get from them.”
