THP: Man arrested after motorcycle pursuit in Bean Station

BEAN STATION, Tenn. (WJHL) — A suspect was taken into custody by the Tennessee Highway Patrol (THP) on Monday in Bean Station following a motorcycle pursuit.

A report from the THP said that at around 5:48 p.m. on Lakeshore Drive near the Hawkins County line, a motorcycle failed to stop for emergency lights and a pursuit was initiated.

“Upon a short pursuit, the driver surrendered and was taken into custody without incident,” the report states.

A preliminary report from the THP said Caleb Rodgers, 27, was arrested and charged with the following:

  • Felony Evading
  • Possession Sch II
  • Possession Sch VI
  • Speeding
  • Improper Passing
  • No Motorcycle Endorsement
  • Financial Responsibility
  • Unregistered Vehicle

The THP said no additional details were able to be released, per the local district attorney’s office. Rodgers was uninjured, the report said.
